How PhotoCubics came to be...
Professional product and jewelry photography is more than a chosen income source, it has to be a passion for all of the patience it demands from the photographer. Historically, getting started as a professional carries a big ticket entry price, the cameras, pro lenses, studio strobes and light modifiers, shooting props and tables and large sets, and the studio space itself, all of these add up to many thousands of dollars and the first customer has not shown up yet. Add on to this that one must actually be proficient in using all of these expensive tools to deliver what clients expect from a real pro; the learning curve is years, and then just when you think you've seen and done it all a new challenge proves otherwise.
But the biggest challenge for any professional product and jewelry photographer is time. Time is money, the more time it takes to produce an image the more the professional must charge the client. This is a big problem because most clients do not have the kind of budget for the best work the pro can do. When it comes to jewelry photography, this is especially true.
Solving the time crunch without sacrificing image quality is how PhotoCubics came to be...
